The BIG Thing I’m Letting Go of in My Life

There will be times in your life when you’re asked to make a decision.
A choice—not between two obvious extremes—but of whether to stay with what you’ve known, or to bravely step into the river of the unknown.
I’ve often found that it’s these decisions—the subtle ones, the ones that aren’t immediately obvious, the ones that ask us to follow the quiet inner compass of our desires and the subtle, sinuous, waterway of our lifeforce—that create the BIGGEST changes in our lives.
Because when we’re brave enough to let go of something—not because it’s wrong, but because it’s just not completely right—we step into the next phase of our evolution.
Is there something in your life that you’ve been suspecting no longer “fits”?
A relationship, a project, a commitment, or a way of being? This new podcast episode was made for you. Tune in to hear:
- The BIG thing I’m letting go of right now in my life
- Why it doesn’t have to be “wrong” to be “done”
- How you know it’s time to move on
- Getting clear on what you’re ready to release in your life
- Why following these subtle directives can open huge new energy
- An exercise for dealing with “the pang” of change
In the podcast I also share a very tender personal announcement about my own life…
Ever since Hurricane Helene swept through our mountains last fall, devastating our town and destroying my apothecary of the last twelve years (One Willow Apothecaries), I’ve received so many beautiful emails and comments asking me—will I be restarting the apothecary?
It’s a question I’ve been sitting with— in tenderness, in wonderment, in grief and trust— since the moment I heard that nine feet of water swept through our doors.
But after two seasons of sitting with the question, the answer is clear.
I am letting go of One Willow Apothecaries.
I have so many feelings around this.
It’s hard for me to express the depth of what One Willow has meant to me. It was the beginning of my career. A pillar that supported me through every major leap I made in life. A home for my passion, a holder of my destiny. It was the gathering place where I met so many incredible people.
(Maybe it was even how I first met you?)
Making medicines and sending them around the world was truly a dream come true for me…
And now it’s time for the next dream to come into form.
I talk more in the podcast about why I’ve decided to let this beloved aspect of my business go (even though I’ve literally had people beg me to restart it).
I also share whatthat process has been like, and what is already opening up on the other side of this big decision.
I hope my openness and honesty about this journey is helpful for YOU and the big new eras you’re calling in.
Because so much soul-led profundity can happen when we take these leaps of faith. When we are willing to listen to the quiet voice inside of us that says— let go, a whole new era of your life is ready to catch you.
So whether you’ve been walking with me since the inception of One Willow Apothecaries almost thirteen years ago, or you just stepped through the door recently…
Thank you.
Thank you for being a part of my life. For showing me that dreams are possible. For continuing to walk with me as we all say yes to the leaps in our growth that our soul came here to experience.
And thank you for the medicine of your presence.
I am forever grateful to the apothecary for starting it all, and for bringing us here, together.
P.S. A few snapshots of the apothecary over the years are below. Every single part of this chapter was a blessing in my life.
