Rainbow people are here to bring revelations from the divine to spark new potentials here on Earth. Those who hold this archetype have a strong connection to the upper world— including spirit guides, angels, star people and their higher self. Rainbow people tend to be charismatic, intellectually curious, enthusiastic, energetic and joyful. If you hold this archetype, then the gifts you were meant to bring to Earth come through your inspirations, connection to the spirit world and uniquely avant-garde ideas. You are here to bring bright light, bountiful creativity and big ideas to this planet.
Rainbow archetype people have an innately strong shen spirit. In Chinese Medicine, the shen is the part of us that is most profoundly connected to Source, Oneness or God. The shen is responsible for our awareness, insight and intuition. The shen spirit is said to live in the heart and can be seen shining through our eyes. Often associated with the crown chakra, the shen helps us maintain a profound connection to the divine and stay connected to our wider selves.
Gifts
Rainbow people hold the profound gift of being able to see new potentials here on Earth. The solutions to our problems will not be found with the same thinking that created them. Rainbow folks are here to refresh our thinking, bringing new ideas and concepts to the collective. If you hold this archetype then you are here to fulfill the role of “the spark” here on Earth. Trust the inspirations that come to you— no matter how far-fetched. Your creativity is here to usher in a new era on this planet.
People who have this archetype make inspired spiritual teachers, inventors, healers, psychics, channelers, inspirational speakers and trend-setters. Rainbow people have access to nearly infinite momentum, ideas and passion. They remind humanity of the light at the center of all things.
Challenges
It’s common for Rainbow people to have felt from a young age that “home” is elsewhere. Longing to be back with the stars or Source is natural for this archetype because they very literally remember that we as souls come from elsewhere. Because they are so connected to other planes of existence, Rainbow people can sometimes struggle with feeling disconnected from this reality or the present moment, which can make the manifestation of their brilliant ideas difficult. With such quick moving thoughts and energy, Rainbow people move at a different pace than the rest of the world and can sometimes feel misunderstood for their ideas, many of which are ahead of their time. If Rainbow people move too quickly, without allowing their body time to rest when they are tired, they can deplete their energetic systems and experience bouts of fatigue or depression. Working with these extremes to find balance is what will enable Rainbow archetype people to truly shine.
Guided Activity: Planting Idea Seeds
In Chinese medicine it’s said that the shen are literal star seeds, scooped up in the ladle of the big dipper and poured into the heart of the child at conception. In this exercise, you’ll be planting your own “seeds” as a way to bring the heavenly gifts you so naturally embody here to the Earth.
1. Gather a small collection of stones or pebbles (aim for between 3-10). You can use little clear quartz points or find local stones that resonate with you.
2. Put on an outfit that helps you feel energized and in alignment with your highest vibratory energy and then bring your collection of stones to a quiet place in nature.
3. If it feels good to do so, take your shoes off and sit directly on the ground. Open your palms to the sky and imagine that your body is a literal rainbow. Imagine this rainbow stretching from you on the Earth up into the heavens. Take time to visualize each color emanating from you and be nourished by their light.
4. As you concentrate on the image of this rainbow, let all the ideas that have been bouncing around in your mind come to the surface. If you feel comfortable doing so, speak each idea aloud so the Earth can hear. When you acknowledge these ideas, you give them a place to land.
5. For each idea that came into your mind, take one stone and hold it in your hands, concentrating on that vision and “seeding” it into the stone.
6. When you have moved through every stone in the collection, stand with your feet on the Earth and ask to be guided to where these “idea seeds” should be planted.
7. Follow your intuition and plant the stones, one-by-one, into the Earth. Before you place them in the soil, breathe on each stone to give that idea life, and then surrender it to the Earth. Your ideas are now planted here in this world and you are complete.
